Weekend Plans

Life is not a puzzle of the plans you have, but the way you spend each one.

I had no school on Friday, which was very exciting. Two weekends ago, I had started to plan my sleepover with Emma, one of my best friends. I am a very busy 12 year old girl who lives half of my life 25 minutes away from all of my friends, so time with my friends is pretty rare. So, it stands to reason that when my mom let me have two friends over, I was very happy and invited another one of my best friends, Alexis. On Friday they came over at 5 o'clock PM and we had a great time.
Then, on Saturday they both went home at 11 AM. Around mid-afternoon that same day, my Aunt Wendy (who is deaf and has a disability) came to sleep over for a night. We watched a movie and did some of her scrapbook with her (one of her favorite things to do at our house).I also helped to make delicious Brussels sprouts sauteed with onions and bacon to go with our turkey and mashed potatoes dinner.
Today started out like any old Sunday: get up, watch TV, eat a family breakfast, and get ready for the day. We did some more of Aunt Wendy's scrapbook and had lunch. Then, at around 2:00, my grandpa came to pick her up. Now, as I sit here and type this, my sister is doing her homework, my brother is playing with my dog, and we are all ready to go to my Omi and Opa's house for dinner in a hour. Yes, more weekend plans.
Ahhh, I guess it's just one of those weekends.
