Magic

Do you believe in magic- in a young girls heart?

I love magic. From fairies to acting, magic was-and still is-one of the greatest things to me.
I used to think that magic was real. That fairies existed and movies were true. And all the characters that visit me on holidays and the money that appeared under my pillow after I lost my tooth.

Now I am not a little girl anymore. Those actors in the commercials are just laughable now, fairies are a fairytale, and Harry Potter is just some writer's imagination. People nowadays expect magic. Magic dieting pills for quick weight loss. Carpet cleaners that work like magic. Magic skin care to reduce acne. People are entranced to the word 'magic' and I can see why. Magic something amazing that people want to believe in. We love the idea and put it in our everyday life. Books, movies, cosmetics, even religious beliefs (such as Greek mythology).

But, I do believe there is a difference between myth and magic. A myth is a false belief. Magic is a fantasy.
But don't get me wrong--I still have nightmares about the witch from Wizard of Oz.
